Dear Onyi, I received with great shock the news of the passage to glory of your beloved dad. I have no doubt that his demise has created a big vacuum in your life and that of the entire Anyaehie family. However, in your state of grief, let there be some rainbow in your tears because your dad lived a good life here on Earth and has gone to Heaven to rest in the bosom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Your dad was an illustrious son of Imo State and left an indelible footprints on the sands of development in his community and in Imo State. The present and future generations of Orlu people and Ndi Imo will remain eternally grateful to him and his posterity.
Please my dear Onyi, do accept my heartfelt condolences, as I pray God to grant you and your family members the fortitude to bear this colossal loss.
Rest in Peace Papa!

Colonel, as you were fondly called, William Shakespear once wrote that death is a necessary end that will come when it will come. It is still very difficult to accept the fact that you are gone. We are told to be thanksful at all times, so, we have to praise and thank God for your very wonderful life.
Akudo, we are here not only to commend you into God's safekeeping as we commit your body to the earth but, also to give thanks for the life you shared with each of us. How long-lived does not count as the legacies you left behind as you answer the home call. The legacies of love, humor, peace and humility which you left behind for your family in particular, and Nkwerre, as a whole will no doubt surpass the time you spent with us before going to the maker.
Pernonally, Akudo, I can say that you are an example of a good and kind man, a good and kind man indeed. I will live to remember all your kindness, and humor to me. Your humility and gentility were next to none. Sir Godwin Onwuatuogu Anyaehie, if it was in our power, we would have wanted you a little longer, but since we know it is only God that has such powers, we submit totally to his will.
Akudo, as you are interred to continue your rest, may it be a rest in the bosom of our Lord, till we meet to part no more. Death, you took away Akudo, but will never take away the memories we shared with him. Akudo, may the Almighty God, grant your family the fortitude to bear this great loss. Adieu Chief.
Anele Onyeukwu and family.
